Household Items That Double as Exercise Equipment
Maybe you’ve just started your fitness journey and don’t yet have workout equipment. Maybe you don’t have a dedicated space in your home for equipment. Not to worry! There are plenty of items you probably have around your house that you can use to exercise!
Laundry Detergent Bottles
A large bottle of laundry detergent is around 8.5 lbs. Grab one in each hand, and get those bicep curls going, or treat it as a kettlebell and do some swings.
Towel
Need a resistance band? Try using a towel! Just pull it taut between your hands for a DIY resistance band.
Paper Plates
Use paper plates instead of gliders. Put them underneath your feet, and slowly move your hips into the air while gliding your feet towards your hands for a (challenging!) plank-to-pike.
Stairs
Run up and down your stairs for some quick cardio!
Step Stool
Use your handy dandy step stool for step ups!
Where there’s a will (and a little bit of imagination) there’s a way! Happy exercising!
