Personal training with Swamp Fitness has been an incredible journey. My story is not very different to many people's. I have tried to lose weight many, many times but couldn't. If I had, it wasn't for long. One day, I was sharing my struggle with a girl friend, crying, ready to give up and resolve to being overweight, tired, and even a bit depressed. She suggested trying a personal trainer for three months. "Three months," she said, "at least then you can say you gave your best effort."
Swamp Fitness was great from the beginning. My personal trainer slowly guided me towards making small heath and fitness changes. The key for me was, however, the persistence and accountability. My trainer never took "I can't do it", for an answer and quickly reminded me of my goals. My trainer was great at motivating me and at talking me through some of my deeper health challenges. It was like talking to a counselor! Over the course of the last 6 months I have lost 20lbs, have a lot more energy, rarely get sick, and am more often in a better mood! I have recently had to stop working with Swamp Fitness, not by choice but because of personal circumstances, but I feel like I have all the right tools to succeed. I have not yet arrived, but it's no longer a hopeless daunting task- it's an exciting adventure towards health and fitness!
